A B2 IELTS candidate has a relevant idea but needs support to develop it with explanation and evidence.
This is a constructed teaching example, not a report of a real student or a claimed learning outcome.
Student context
A B2 adult learner is preparing for IELTS Writing Task 2. The current objective is paragraph development, not full-essay speed.
Evidence
- The topic sentence answers the prompt and states a clear position.
- Supporting sentences repeat the main idea instead of explaining how or why it is true.
- With a planning question, the learner can add a relevant example.
